We are looking to bring onboard a Office Manager to help run the day-to-day operations and administration of our business. When working with us you can expect support from the team, security, autonomy, accountability, career progression and development. The role will evolve over time and we recognise that you will too, so with the support of the local Director, Accounts Manager and rest of the team we can set out a succession plan together.

What does your week involve?

  • Work closely with Accounts Manager and Director with day-to-day business administration tasks.
  • Maintain the BHD health and safety ethos. Think Safe Work Safe.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to working on various tasks.
  • Help prepare for monthly staff meetings.
  • Where required, effectively manage relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors and our team to consistently deliver a high standard of service.
  • Assisting with compliance requirements for various projects.

You will appreciate good Banter, be able to roll with the punches and change direction often. You’ll be organised, punctual, look and think ahead of schedule. To others, you are approachable, relatable and can lead by example.

What you bring to the role:Experience

  • Previous customer focused administration or office management role.
  • Experience in delivering an engaging and highly professional service for a wide range of clients, suppliers and team members.
  • Construction knowledge advantageous but not essential.

This role is full time Monday to Friday 40 hours a week based in Palmerston North.
