Job Description

Sodexo is growing! We are looking for a Office/Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our dynamic team. This position is a full-time role You will be offered is a great team environment, work/life balance and the ability to ensure customer satisfaction.

1. Day Porter activities:

• Clean any visible litter on premises
• Cleaning several times a day: All pantries, kitchen and café areas, washrooms, internal glass areas, reception area and meeting rooms
• Verify functionality of washroom appliances

2. Carryout light maintenance service including plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering (if required, under supervision or in collaboration with a qualified journeyman/trades maintenance personnel)

3. Performs tasks such as but not limited to changing light bulbs, installing paper dispenser units, changing filters, changing locks on doors, minor decorative maintenance and other tasks not requiring a licensed skilled trades person.

4. Coordinate subcontractor entries for preventative maintenance and ad-hoc repair and assist when required

5. Assist in the maintenance of internal plants

6. Perform small move services as required

7. Identifies and corrects unsafe working conditions with management oversight

8. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

9. Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years related experience
• College certificate, GED or equivalent experience
• Clear communication skills:
• Written and verbal in English language
• Speak at an intensity or/and volume level appropriate to the environment
• Excellent customer service attitude
• Effective planning, organizing, and time management skills
• Professional, positive and team focused outlook
• Dependability and effective decision making
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
