How do temporary assignments work?

 

Clients require temporary candidates for a range of reasons such as cover for annual or sick leave, large projects, busier times of year, staff resignations and the creation of brand-new roles. As a temporary candidate, you will be employed by Madison Recruitment and get to experience different companies, industries, and people! We have temporary assignments that are based in sectors such as finance, sales, operations, management and more across all industries.

What skills do I need to be a temporary candidate?

We are always looking for a variety of skills for our clients from entry level to senior positions, so experience is not always our top priority!

However, we do need candidates to have the following:

  • Confident communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Reliable transport is preferred
  • Able to start in a new position immediately or have less than 1 weeks’ notice period
  • Valid visa to work in New Zealand for at least 1 year
  • Local to the South-East Auckland area is preferred or able to travel
  • Clear Ministry of Justice Check
  • Clear Credit – this is specially for financial roles or contact centre (Lending, collections)
  • Vaccine passport for certain roles/industries
