This hospital has an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality, effective person-centered care to patients in their 22-bed inpatient unit and Day program. They treat and manage adult patients with a range of medical conditions including orthopedic, Reconditioning, Neurological, Pain, and Cardiac Rehabilitation in an Inpatient and Day Program Physical Rehabilitation setting. Working as an integral part of an MDT team some of the key aspects of the role will include (but are not limited to):
Functional and Cognitive Assessments
Self Care assessment, therapy, and Equipment prescription
Discharge Planning with Home Assessment, equipment/minor home modifications
Treatment to maximise functional capacity
Upper Limb Neurological Assessment and Treatment
To be successful in this role you will need
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
Be registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Strong organisational skills with a high degree of initiative.
Displays critical thinking skills and forms defensible conclusions based on evidence and sound judgment.
Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate change and provide responsive services to meet patients’ needs.
Effective communication, including active listening skills, and an ability to negotiate.
Hold a current driver’s license.
