The Inpatient Mental Health unit is a purpose-built modern facility where care is provided by a multidisciplinary team with a broad background of experience. We work in close partnership with community teams, allied health care professionals and local education providers to facilitate a working environment that is supportive, challenging and reflects evidence of ongoing professional growth whilst meeting the needs of a diverse population with mental illness.

The geographic region we serve is unique and so we see a hugely varied caseload.

About the role - About you

This role will see you in the Mental Health Inpatient unit (1.0 FTE) providing care, support, assessment and treatment for people experiencing moderate to severe mental illness. This could be a very exciting opportunity for experienced OT or any registered occupational therapist to kick start their occupational therapy careers in mental health. In this role you will work alongside experienced clinical staff and be an integral member of the team.

You will have sound knowledge in occupational therapy assessment, treatment planning, implementation and evaluation. As an excellent communicator you will thrive on having the opportunity to build and develop relationships with a wide range of disciplines, you will have excellent organisational and time management skills, and you'll also need to have a client centred approach and a strong recovery focus.
