 ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the New Zealand ESH Manager you will set the direction for all things Health and Safety across our 4 New Zealand sites. You will drive both strategic and operational health and safety business solutions by ensuring robust policies, processes and procedures are developed, implemented, maintained and continuously improved country wide.   

Leading investigations of WHS related incidents, hazards, and job safety is an important part of this roles as is performing compliance audits and preparing effective action plans.

With the support of a small local team you will work collaboratively with the business to coach, support and provide specialist knowledge and expert advice, with a focus on meeting regulatory and legal requirements.  

ABOUT YOU: 

 To be considered for the role we are seeking applicants who have the following skills and attributes:

• Relevant qualifications within the Environment, Safety and Health fields (minimum diploma)
• Proven experience leading a team within an ESH environment (5 years minimum)
• Established experience working, with and influencing, across all levels of the organisation including Senior Leadership
• ISO 45001 & 14001 certification experience
• Outstanding business acumen and commercial awareness
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and reporting tools
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) including an ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports
