This is a permanent 0.8FTE (64 hrs/fortnight)Designated Senior Nursing role located at Wairau Hospital.
The successful candidate will contribute to workforce and professional development across the wider organisation, and will work collaboratively alongside the wider nurse educator team.
Nurse educators are a key component to improving the experience of consumers by supporting the provision of a confident and evidence-based approach. A large component of this role will be providing education, professional development and clinical coaching, by working alongside the nursing teams, and ensuring clinical quality systems are in place within and across medical and AT&R care services to enhance care delivery including:

You will be an experienced senior registered nurse, with a current APC and broad experience across the health care setting, including experience working within medical and assessment & rehabilitation services.
You will have proven teaching ability, in both formal and informal settings, and will have completed a clinical Masters, or equivalent, and if not have a commitment to completing.
For the health and safety of both staff and patients, and in line with the Health Order, all NMH staff are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
