Non-Functional Test Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly enthusiastic, experienced and driven Non-Functional Test Manager. With full accountability for the delivery of Non-Functional Testing you will be looked upon as an expert in this field, someone who will help identify, develop and execute innovative testing solutions, applying the latest techniques and evaluating the latest technologies. As well as being a member of the Quality Assurance Management Team

You will work closely with the Head Of Quality Assurance to implement a clear overarching Non-Functional Test strategy within the area.

The Non-Functional Test Manager will take the lead on behalf of Asda, for functional test activities across an agreed portfolio of initiatives.  The role holder will work alongside appropriate partners, including our strategic QA partners, ensuring that all required test activities are completed to time, cost and quality to ensure the expected business value can be achieved.

Your Role 

• Review supplier Testing strategies to ensure industry and company standards are adhered to.
• Select and put in place commercial and contractual frameworks to enable strategic partners to deliver cost effective services that can scale.
• Manage a comprehensive schedule with volumes and timescales that enables suppliers to translate requirements into deliverables.
• Develop quality criteria to measure progress and drive continuous improvement processes so we adopt a right first-time approach
• Review plans across factory delivery and programme deployments ensuring test coverage meets the risk profile and priorities are met.

About You

• Experienced Non-Functional Test Manager with a strong Stakeholder Management and Partner Management skills.
• An excellent stakeholder manager you will have demonstrable experience managing varied technical and business expectations and priorities.
• Previous experience working commercially with IT partners and software vendors - on, near and offshore.
• Knowledge of Agile/DevOps project lifecycles and testing delivery.
• Experience in leading the testing of advanced capabilities and services (5 years +)
• Experience with Analysing NFR's and converting them into Testable requirements
• Experience in Test data, Test execution and strong analytical skills to ensure the solution meets/exceeds requirements
• Experience with identifying and Analysing performance bottlenecks
• Development of robust Performance Test Plans, Status Reporting, Test Readiness Reviews
• Strong knowledge of Performance tools (Load Runner, Jmeter)
• Good knowledge of Monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Perfmon etc.)
• Hands on experience in using test management tool (Performance Center, Jira) 
• Experience and in-depth knowledge of non-functional testing capabilities
• Ability to deliver through others, all non-functional testing activities
• Building & managing teams in a dynamic environment to world class operations supporting business growth
• Developing successful partnerships, internally and externally
• Excellent communication skills
