GreenTech Resources is currently hiring Woodworking Machine Operators (NOC 9437) for our employer based in Regina, SK location who are ready to support an LMIA/PNP.

Responsibilities for Woodworking Machine Operators

1) Sets up and operates variety of machines to surface, cut, and shape lumber, and to fabricate parts for wood products, like doors, door window frames, furniture, and sashes, according to specifications.

2) Selects, installs and adjusts saw blades, cutter heads, boring bits and sanding belts in respective machines, using handtools rule.

3) Starts machine makes trial cut.

4) Operates machines to saw to smooth and shape lumber and wood parts. Shaper Operator to cut tenons and mortises in wood stock.  Mortising-Machine Operator to bore holes to cut slots, grooves, and designs in wood stock  to sand lumber, wood stock, and parts Cylinder-Sander Operator Sander, Machine.

5) Periodically verifies dimensions of parts for adherence to specifications, using gauges templates.

6) May assemble fabricated parts to make millwork products, like doors, sashes, and door window frames.

7) May sharpen machine cutting heads, using hand tools grinder.

Employment Requirements

• Some secondary school education is usually required.
• On-the-job training is usually provided.
• Experience as a labourer in the same company may be required.
