Job Description

Cupboard Brothers is looking to hire 01 Furniture Finishers and Refinishers in Regina, SK location for Full time position. Anyone who can legally work in Canada can apply for this job. If you are not currently authorized to work in Canada, the employer will not consider your job application.

Responsibilities for Furniture Finishers and Refinishers

• Meeting with the customer to discuss finishing and color requirements.
• Disassembling the furniture or wooden item.
• Inspecting the wood for rot and physical damage.
• Repairing broken parts, removing imperfections, and filling in cracks.
• Removing old finishing’s and excess solvent.
• Sanding and smoothing the item in preparation for finishing.
• Selecting and applying finishing lubricants such as varnish, stains, or shellac.
• Replacing or refurbishing upholstery.
• Inspecting the refurbished product and completing job reports.
• Polish and wax refinished surfaces
• Sand or grind metal surfaces to prepare for coating, and paint metal surfaces using electrostatic method, spray gun or other painting equipment
• Make minor repairs to furniture
• May perform duties of furniture finisher.

Employment Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is usually required.
• 2yrs of work experience is required in the same field.
• Languages: Writing and Speaking English is required
