The Role
A great opportunity has arisen for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our highly motivated team at our well-established 24-hour practice at Sussex Coast Vets, in Bexhill-on-Sea. The role is primarily focused on gold stan-dard emergency care, providing excellent client service through clear and effective communication with a compassionate approach, whilst always prioritising patient care.
Throughout the night you will work with one of our experienced and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurses. Communication is key to our success, with our night and day teams working closely together, handing over cases, and collaborating on treatment plans.
Shifts run from 8pm until 8am for our night teams. We're also happy to discuss alternative working patterns to suit the right candidate. FTE salary £55,000-£65,000.
About Us
Our 24-hour practice in Bexhill-on-Sea is part of a group of five branches serving the Hastings and Bexhill area. We provide out-of-hour emergency care to several practices in the area. Recently refurbished, the clinic is equipped with the full range of diagnostic laboratory equipment, digital x-ray, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy, and excellent facilities.
East Sussex is an area steeped in history, with beautiful countryside, stunning coastlines, and an abundance of choice within the art, sports and leisure scenes, with something to suit everyone! We also have the convenience of great links to Brighton, London and Gatwick.
Across the Sussex Coast Vets group, we have approximately 12 Vets, with a total team of 40-45 across the group, this includes both Regis-tered and Trainee Nurses and our Receptionist and Support functions.
We welcome vets with a range of experience, including those with interests in orthopaedics, exotics, ultrasonography and emergency
care. We also have a visiting specialist in ophthalmology!
Applicant Requirements
We're looking for an experienced clinician with a history of working sole charge, someone confident with all aspects of small-animal emergency work. The perfect candidate will have excellent communication skills, be personable, enthusiastic, energetic and ready for any given emergency situation.
