We are looking for an experienced corporate affairs Manager to work within the NHS in a home working - with 2-3 days each month on site as and when required. Experience in NHS is preferred Work life balance and your home life is especially important to us therefore we are happy to explore either full time 5 days a week or the opportunity of working 4 days at reduced hours if this suits you better The hours are between 9am - 5.30 Monday to Friday Pay £ 20.54 Per hour £40K PA Full time You will be fully trained in the role by your predecessor and a full handover will be given setting you up successfully in the role This post will manage the Corporate Function of the CCG which includes: Corporate Governance Policies and Procedures Risk management Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Human Resources Information Governance Committee Support Executive Director administrative support Complaints, MP enquiries and claims Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and Subject Access Requests (SARs) Incidents and Serious Incidents As you will be operating from your home - is essential you are efficient a managing staff in remote locations too - This role includes managing the staff in these functions. MAIN UTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Line manages the Corporate Affairs Team. Oversee the maintenance of the CCG's Risk Register. Work with the CSU to ensure Emergency and Business Continuity Plans are in place and regularly tested, to ensure the CCG's compliance with national requirements. Manage the on-call rota, supported by sourcing training programmes. Provide high-level management support to assist with the efficient running of the CCG's annual planning cycle and corporate duties. Oversee the production of the Annual Report and Annual Governance Statement. Develop, maintain and ensure compliance with the CCG's policies and procedures. Collate and format complex documentation including providing support in the collation of reports for the Governing Body and its committees, on behalf of the Director of Corporate Affairs. Support the Director of Corporate Affairs in Human Resource management. Act as the Information Governance Lead for the CCG. Manage and monitor the Conflicts of Interest compliance on behalf of the CCG and for member GP practices. Support the Director of Corporate Affairs in ensuring the CCG's Constitution is maintained and reflective of any changes in the CCG's decision-making framework. Manage the Committee Support function, ensuring all formal CCG committees are organised efficiently, with papers and documentation produced to the highest standard and all actions followed up. Manage the team providing Executive Administrative support to the Director team. Manage the Corporate Function responsible for dealing with Complaints, MP enquiries, FOIs, Serious Incidents and Incidents, Claims and Subject Access Requests to provide a compliant high-quality service. Deal with complex and contentious complaints issues both verbally and in writing and complex case management and resolution and, when appropriate, meet with complainants and their representatives to facilitate the CCG's Complaints procedure. Provide advice, support and training on complaints management to CCG staff, service users/carers and other stakeholders. Develop and maintain robust systems for ensuring that lessons are learnt from complaints and incidents. Use the knowledge from complaints and positive outcomes to influence and implement service improvements. Act as an effective first point of contact for the corporate functions of the CCG, both internally and for external stakeholders, requiring the ability to escalate issues as necessary. Manage internal and external relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that information is provided in a timely manner to allow effective management and reporting against the corporate CCG objectives. Take the lead responsibility for providing auditable tracking of the decision-making process. Respond to information requests from stakeholders - for example, NHS England. Project manage individual projects to support the CCG's Corporate Plan. Support the Executive Management team in developing the CCG's decision-making and delivery processes, identifying and acting upon where improvements can be made to incorporate best practice. Monitor reporting mechanisms and create reporting templates where necessary. Act as authorised signatory in defined areas.
