Job Description
We are currently hiring Network Support Specialist - L2 for one of our clients in Toronto, ON.
Work if 100% remote and can be done for anywhere in Canada.
Duration: 6 Months with possibility of extension.
- Support CISCO devices, implement patches
- Troubleshoot CISCO equipment, and implement changes on the CISCO devices requested by the customers.
- Experience with Solar Winds (Alerts and monitoring)
- Escalate to level 3 support when needed.
- CCNA or CCNP (CCNP Ideally)
- Experience working with CISCO 1900 series, and nexus equipment
- Support F5 load balancer
- CCIE nice to have
JOB DUTIES:
Support, configure and manage multiple clients Cisco devices from level 1 to level 3, this includes break/fix, configuration, troubleshooting, day to day requests, work with vendor (cisco).
- level 3 and some architecture and design work like carving out new subnets, configuring ACLs, making sure it adheres to clients existing design requirements and then configuring it on the network devices to ensure client has end to end connectivity.
- Day 2 support as well to maintain this configuration and connectivity.
- This job also requires me to travel to Data Centre on regular basis(every month at least) to update the devices which are not remotely connectable and immediate travel to DC is required based on the SLA when the device is down.
- Configure, manage, and maintain DNS devices
- Performing security and health checks, this includes network security as well as infosec security. Attending security meetings, maintaining security databases, doing security patches.
- Every customer has different security requirements, making sure to follow the process of each customer and perform health checks and maintain the health check documents and doing security checks and maintaining the related security documents.
