Job Description

Network Security Team Lead

At EDF we pride ourselves in providing value to our businesses through available and secure systems. Join EDF as a Network Security Team Lead where you’ll take part in shaping, and deliver our network security change roadmap, and support our security platforms.

Pay, benefits and culture...

In addition to a competitive salary we offer a market-leading company pension scheme, paid holidays with ability to buy additional holiday and a range of flexible benefits, such as: a company incentive bonus plan, health cover, cycle to work scheme, electric vehicle scheme, gym membership, discounts and employee pricing.

You will be able to work from anywhere in the UK and we’ll support you to work flexibly from home (providing a suite of IT equipment), whilst coming together on site at our Gloucester offices once or twice a month to collaborate. There may be more travel required and to other locations from time to time to support projects and initiatives, but this will not be routine.

Gemma Vine, Senior Delivery Assurance Executive, says “Having come back from maternity leave May last year, EDF have been flexible and where we can now work from home, I am able to do 4 longer days to have a day off in the week with my son. This not only helps financially as it’s a day less of childcare, but I am also getting some quality time with my son.”

At EDF, everyone’s welcome. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone has a voice and where you feel confident being yourself.  We’re committed to equality, diversity, inclusion.  We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’re an equal opportunity and disability confident employer. If you feel comfortable sharing with us that you have a disability, you meet the minimum criteria for the role, we will guarantee you an interview.

We’ll value the difference you bring and give you opportunities to thrive and succeed and to feel you belong.

The opportunity…

You will be key to shaping the low-level roadmap for the network security suite of tools and technologies, and then delivering this roadmap through projects. In addition, you will be responsible for the availability, effectiveness, efficiency of the platforms and you will head up a small team of Security Engineers to achieve this.

We deliver work and value to our business through an Agile methodology and are aligned to the SAFe framework. If you’ve not worked in an Agile way before that is ok, we can bring you up to speed.
