MRI Radiographer – Fitzwilliam Hospital, Peterborough

Fitzwilliam Hospital is one of Cambridgeshire's leading independent hospitals with a reputation for delivering high quality healthcare treatments and services since 1983. The hospital is situated in the quiet landscaped grounds of the Milton Estate in Peterborough and has 54 single bedrooms and one twin-bedded room, all with en suite facilities.  The hospital provides services for both private and NHS patients.

By investing in advanced medical technology, the hospital offers a state-of-the-art range of treatments and services. The fully equipped ultra clean air theatre suite is particularly suitable for orthopaedic procedures such as spinal surgery, arthroscopy, hip replacements and knee replacements. The Braithwaite day unit is used for minor operations and endoscopies.

The Role:

We are looking for a MRI Radiographer to join our team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise. You will be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care & services. You will be supported by one of the UK’s largest private health care groups who will ensure your continuous development and sponsor additional post-graduate and other learning courses.

As an MRI Radiographer you will be part of a close knit innovative team. The successful applicant will have an enthusiastic outlook to ensure the delivery of a diagnostic imaging service of the highest standard.

What you’ll bring with you 

  • You must have a Diploma form the College of Radiographers or hold a BSc in Radiology and be registered with the HCPC.
  • Experience in MRI  
  • Evidence of post registration development
  • The ability to extract the best performance from the equipment
  • Proven ability to work in a team or independently as required
  • Friendly outgoing personality

Responsibilities Include 

  • Responsible for the provision of high quality imaging service within financial margins
  • To participate in the provision of a high standard of patient care and treatment
  • Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Prioritise workload
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to participate in evening / Saturday sessions
  • RIS/PACS processes
  • Ensuring that the agreed standards of patient care and confidentiality are maintained in accordance with Ramsay policies
