 Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a permanent Analyst role to join our Auckland Genomics team.

The core functions of this role are to verify and validate new Molecular methods and procedures within our Genomics team. Key duties include:

• To verify and validate new Molecular methods and procedures to support the local market
• To connect with the Eurofins global network to ensure all applicable methods are offered the the NZ market
• To support laboratory functions including but not limited to general housekeeping of allocated workspace, preparing reagents etc
• To maintain good lab practice at all times, to ensure the highest quality service to our customers
• To operate in accordance with the company's Quality and Procedures manuals 
• To keep the laboratory and equipment in a good physical condition at all times
• To maintain a positive, professional and safe working environment, being mindful of the company’s Health and Safety procedures
• To be willing to work on continuous improvement initiatives

 Qualifications

•  Tertiary qualification, preferably in Molecular Biology 

Experience

• Hands-on experience on performing DNA-based test, e.g. DNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, LAMP etc. is a must
• Practical knowledge of basic microbiological or food handling techniques is highly preferred; Experience in a production environment is desirable but can be trained on the job
