Full Time Permanent Role
Our Women’s Health service is seeking an experienced Maaori midwife to join our dynamic and supportive team.
The midwife specialist – Kaupapa Maaori will support recruitment and retention strategies to target Maaori midwifery development. The role will also be pivotal in the provision of midwifery quality improvement and education initiatives which focus on equity and cultural safety.
The Specialist Midwife – Kaupapa Maaori midwife will report to the Women’s Health General Manager.
Essential:
- NZ Registered Midwife with current APC
- 5 years’ clinical midwifery experience
- An appropriate level of proficiency in Tikanga me Te Reo Maaori
- Existing linkages with the Maaori midwifery community
