Your new role
The Medical Receptionist/Administrator provides front line reception services to patients and whanau through friendly, courteous and professional engagement.
This includes the maintaining of client confidentiality at all times, and ensuring the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently by answering phones, coordinating appointments, completing administrative tasks, assisting in the prioritising of work flows and managing patient customer service expectations. Your key duties will be:
- Greet clients/whanau and interact with them in a friendly, non-judgmental, professional and culturally appropriate manner
- Ensure all sign-in requirements are fulfilled
- Ensure the reception area is neat, tidy and efficient
- Maintain the client record management system, including enrolments and exits.
- Answer incoming calls promptly.
- Make the appropriate appointments for clients.
- Enter non-medical information accurately on client records and MedTech, ensuring that all data/statistics are accurate.
- Answering any relevant correspondence as required and assisting with inwards and outwards mail as required.
- Assisting with the management of office supply stocks, including stationery, bathroom and kitchen supplies, as required.
- Take payments from client and correctly record payment to ensure financial records for each client are complete and accurate.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will ordinarily have administrative experience behind you or experience on front of house. It would be an advantage if this was within a medical environment
