The medical centre is a large GP practice, just off the North Western Motorway. The Centre tests for COVID-19 in a designated area.

We require a student to join a team doing computer administration for the swabbing that is done. In addition to this, the student will be  trained to be a swab technician. A swab technician conducts the PCR (nasal swab) test in full Personal Protection Equipment under strict protocols ensuring personal and patient safety.  
 
Work is available from 21 February 2022  and will continue during the Covid outbreak. It is likely to be ongoing through to the end of winter.

Indicatively this would be 1 or 2 days per week between 8.00am  and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday. The intention is to job share with another student (s) to cover the course of a week.  It would suit a student who had a regular day(s) free during the semester.

This role requires the successful applicant to be fully vaccinated.

The administration component requires excellent spoken English, good personnel skills and accurate data entry and swabbing requires fine motor skills.
