Job Description:

Freshpork NZ is a family-owned business, passionate about producing quality New Zealand pork products. We have been delivering New Zealand pork to Kiwis for over 35 years and as New Zealand’s leading pork processor and wholesaler, we process and market approximately 40% of the pork farmed in NZ. With over 180 people in our team operating from 5 sites, we are committed to the long-term sustainability of the NZ pork industry, through innovative processing that provides fresh, high quality, tasty NZ pork products to New Zealanders and their families.

The teams at our Tararua Road facility in Levin work hard to produce premium pork products from around 4,500 pigs per week.  We are looking for Meat Processing Labourers to join our Boning, Value Add and Cold Store teams.

Cold Store – Labourer

Working in our chillers, the Cool Store team organise daily logistics loading product on trucks to our national customers and unloading supplies required for production.

You’ll ensure all products are stored effectively for efficient load out and kept in prime condition. This includes accurate

record keeping for incoming and outgoing stock.

 Job Requirements:

For all this role you will need:

• To be organised, reliable and have good attention to detail
• To be physically fit due to the physicality of the job
• Be able to work in a goal driven environment and under strict deadlines
• Flexibility to respond to production requirements
• Follow instructions and Health, Safety and Food safety requirements and quality control methods.

Hours are 6am – 3pm Monday to Friday, with overtime available during the week and occasional Saturdays.
