THE ROLE

This role will be one of the first hires at The Renaissaint as we look to scale our community and audience.

Initially you will be responsible for building our online presence across social media channels and creating and growing an engaged audience. This will require a creative, ambitious and diligent person to come in and take the reins by devising and executing a direct-to-consumer marketing strategy. You will work closely with the Content Manager to understand our mission and align on tone of voice and consistency of content and brand on all platforms.

Coming on board at this stage means you will have a HUGE impact and be the sole marketing and social media employee, so you will have a lot of autonomy over how you work and will be working alongside the founder to push the company vision forward and build out the community.

We don’t necessarily need you to have years of experience but some marketing experience and at least an awareness of the elements below is necessary. More than anything we need you to be innovative, with a great eye for visuals and detail along with a great work ethic and the want to generate results and have fun doing so. 

As you will be coming in at an early stage in the journey, we are looking for someone with the same passion as us who is willing to get their hands dirty and be part of the family from the start. Below are some of the elements this role will likely involve. You will notice the role will be incredibly varied and involve you rolling up your sleeves and diving into various tasks, learning new systems, principles and constantly adapting.

Again, don’t feel put-off from applying if you feel you are under-experienced for the role, we are looking for the right fit moreso than someone with experience of all of the below. One of our founding principles is continuous improvement so we strongly believe that just because you haven’t done something before doesn’t mean you couldn’t.

For this we are looking to offer a small piece of equity in the company, as we want this person to take ownership of this side of the business and really feel they are helping to build something that they are a part of.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media (management of all channels, working with creative & content manager for planning and delivery of content, analysis of importance of specific channels and formulating strategy, analysing and tweaking as we go forward)

Marketing, PR & Community (Growth strategies, Engagement, growing our mailing list, community interaction)

Brand (Tone of Voice, Strategy, Partnerships, Design etc)

Strategy (PPC, Google Analytics, long-term marketing plan) Aligning with Content Manager, combining brains to decide on the direction our branding, position and content should be moving. What is productive, what is liked, what drives engagement etc

Working with the Content Manager - to align on all content, tone of voice, brand consistency etc, ensure content is in line with growth and engagement strategies set out and any community insights and vice versa

Setting out long and short-term marketing and social media plans - tracking KPI's, strategising growth strategies and reporting to the founder

Other (Events, optimising strategies based on data and analytics,, Advertising, Social Ads, Affiliates, and tracking, Influencers, user-generated content opportunities, PR, running campaigns, email marketing, newsletters, translating customer wants/needs and likes/dislikes internally, customer experience on the website etc, possibly some SEO work, ensuring we are using the correct technologies in your field)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Some marketing experience and at least an awareness of the principles, systems and elements mentioned above
  • Strong social media knowledge
  • A passion and alignment with the brand principles with a strong interest in self-improvement across the areas of your own life, from the personal to the professional
  • Experience with Canva (or similar) with very strong design abilities. You should be the type of person that has the ability to make all of their work look sharp and visually appealing
  • Innovative with an eye for detail
  • A strong and adept verbal and written communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • A quick learner willing to dive into new projects and areas
  • Business acumen
