The Scripted Drama and Comedy marketing team is responsible for the global marketing of an incredible slate of content which includes Killing Eve, End of the F***ing World, Happy Valley, Call The Midwife, and brilliant comedy hits like The Offenders and Stath Lets Flats. As the Marketing Manager, you will report to the Director of Brands & Marketing to support our global commercial and production activities. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering the marketing strategy and drive awareness and demand for the scripted slate globally.
The key focus of this role is to support production growth and commercial success for the scripted drama and comedy slate. You will be the voice of the global audience, champion data and insights to drive creative hits
Lead the development of major campaign briefs to deliver against BBC Studios' strategic objectives. You will be supporting the commercial growth and health of the brands through the development of marketing activations and brand management.
Support the VP of Marketing, Scripted, and Director of Brand Marketing, Scripted to lead relationships with key stakeholders. You will lead collaborations with our international partners and Invested Indies and develop strong relationships with Research and Insight, Consumer Engagement, Customer Engagement, Creative and Comms.
Support in the delivery of effective creative work that reflects brand guidelines; manage the budget for the genre and brand campaigns ensuring all campaigns are delivered within budget and timeframe.
Inspire the team to innovate, be aware of developments in marketing and technology/digital trends, and line management for a Marketing Executive.

It is essential that you are digitally savvy with previous experience in managing and developing major brands through their lifecycle in a complex business or media environment, using advanced marketing techniques. A passion for scripted content, an understanding and knowledge of the broadcasting industry will be very desirable.
Experience in developing and implementing strong brand identities; successfully delivering innovative digital and social media campaigns, and managing projects within the media or industry of a similar scale. You will have knowledge and understanding of key marketing principles, demonstrate strong commercial acumen, understand business plans, market research, knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques. and using data to drive a strategy and plan.
You will have strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with an ability to build relationships, communicate effectively. A collaborative approach in building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and agencies, across different regions and seniority levels. You will be able to influence and persuade people at all levels and negotiate desired outcomes with peers and partners.
You will be a team leader, able to manage yourself and others within a complex matrix environment. You will have a demonstrable ability to lead and manage delivery through in-house and third-party creative resources and evaluate design work.
Knowledge of managing budgets including forecasting and day-to-day management. Proficient in using Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
You will have strong organisational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail. You’ll have an eye for identifying potential challenges and solving problems accordingly. You’ll be proactive, demonstrate excellent time management and have the ability to prioritise to ensure you meet deadlines.
