Our Workplace Marketing team is busy building the Aviva brand in the workplace pensions market and helping customers to save for the future. Our goal is to make Aviva the number one financial services brand amongst all size of businesses in the UK, by supporting them with a range of benefits they can offer their employees in the workplace to help them achieve their financial and wellbeing goals.

We’re looking for an organised, driven individual, with bags of enthusiasm and marketing experience, to join us on the journey.

What’s the job?

As a member of our B2B marketing team, you’ll bring our workplace pensions to life by raising awareness of our workplace pensions amongst key B2B audiences (corporate advisers, trustees and employers) using the full marketing mix – from email campaigns and digital/social media communications, through to promoting our brand through external trade channels. You will also work closely with our Distribution teams to provide sales support material which will help our business to achieve its commercial and brand objectives.

To do this, you’ll ideally have experience of direct and intermediary channels, and you’ll be adept at creating great B2B-focused content so that you can execute marketing-led activity with impact.

We need someone who’s used to working hand-in-hand with technical, compliance and product teams, and who understands the importance of delivering impact and measuring results. You’ll also need to be creative and curious. And we want somebody who’s willing to test out and try new marketing approaches to find what works, rather than accepting the standard way of doing things.

The role’s duties & responsibilities:

  • Input into marketing delivery and the planning of projects and campaigns
  • Working with our in-house creative team or marketing agencies to deliver campaigns and content
  • Creating and sending emails and other communications, providing effective measurement and reporting on their performance
  • Developing sales and marketing communications to support adviser and employer engagement
  • Helping to deliver new retirement products and propositions to market
  • Reviewing and updating existing marketing communications to make sure our messages are always relevant, impactful, and compliant
  • Using digital media to improve the way we communicate to customers, delivering a more targeted and personalised experience

Skills & experiences required:

  • Experience of B2B and direct/digital marketing, ideally for an insurance or financial services company
  • Understanding of multi-channel marketing, tools and techniques for engaging business audiences. Experience of Pardot/Adobe Campaign Tool an advantage
  • Manage creative delivery with our inhouse creative or external agencies – willing to try new things
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with proven ability to work with people at all levels and across different areas within the business e.g., Distribution, Compliance, Brand etc
  • Good understanding of creating communications in line with data and insight and having the customer at the heart of everything we do
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Commercial outlook, with a focus on delivering results
  • Experience of working in a highly regulated industry
  • PowerPoint skills in telling our “story”
  • Ability to work on your own or as part of a team
