Our client is a Marine Electrical business specialising in Control & Monitoring systems for Superyachts. With many years in the industry, and a team of electrical design engineers, inspectors, electricians, and programmers, they produce their own system, interfacing with Power Generation, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, HVAC, and all manner of systems that make today's Superyacht’s tick.

The team operates from New Zealand's largest Superyacht refit & repair centre. Their travel lift is the largest in the southern hemisphere! Their work is varied, challenging, and of highest quality.

On their behalf, we are looking for a Marine Electrician to join their team and install both in-house and external projects.

The team is energetic and fun but serious about what they do and are keen to offer opportunities for further learning and upskilling. The type of person we are looking for will demonstrate initiative, drive, flexibility and enjoy getting hands-on, working with a variety of other trades and engineers.

Typical duties would be:

• PLC Programming (ladder, function block, structured text)
• HMI Programming
• Modbus communications
• Create and maintain project supporting documentation in Excel & Word formats
• Provide remote support to overseas yachts, upload and maintain software changes
• Field work commissioning & fault-finding of systems
• Travel to overseas locations to work on Superyachts across the world (I want this job)
• General assistance to the company directors and other engineers

While we are keen on attracting someone with skills as close to the above, as possible, we would look at those who have Industrial Electrical experience and can see themselves cross-training into Marine and then working with the world’s most luxurious yachts. AWESOME!

Rewards: Remuneration will be up to $90K base + Car/ Car allowance, Parking and bonus circa $10K
