ROLE: Manufacturing Associate

LOCATION: North Edmonton

TYPE: Temp to Permanent

WAGE: $17.50/hour

Maxsys Staffing & Consulting Edmonton, is looking for dynamic individuals to fulfil multiple Manufacturing Workers vacancies for our North Edmonton client’s manufacturing facility.

Reporting to the Production Manager you will be working a rotating schedule (details below) in a fast paced manufacturing facility.

Interested candidates must have:

• 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Hand-eye coordination
• Good hand strength
• Ability to lift 18 kilograms / 40 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and maintain a clear work area
• Ability to speak and read/write in English to be able to communicate with the team

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products
• Perform other labouring and elemental activities
• Clean machines and immediate work areas
• Check and weigh materials and products
• Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers
• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment

Work Conditions:

• Use of required personal protective equipment
• Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment
• Candidates need to be able to manage the physically demanding nature of this position.
• There is a mix of repetitive tasks, including sitting, and standing along with lifting, moving, and manipulating objects up to 18 kilograms / 40 pounds

SCHEDULE:

Week 1 training:

Monday - Friday 7am – 330pm

Week 2 Training:

Monday/Tuesday 7am – 7pm

Wednesday Off

Thursday/Friday 7pm – 7am

Off on the weekend

Then Rotational schedule, 3 days on 3 days off, days/nights 12 hour days

Required PPE:

• CSA Approved Steel Toed boots
• All other PPE will be supplied

COVID-19 considerations:

• Must have 2 doses of approved COVID-19 vaccine
• Face masks are mandatory within the office and manufacturing facility at this time
