We are now hiring for an exciting opportunity of Commercial Manager - Medirest in a full-time permanent role based at our national support office in Parnell, Auckland. Our commercial team are at the very heart of our company, helping us manage, report on and forecast business performance. But it's not all about numbers, a big part of the job is about engaging with colleagues across the company; helping them to understand our commercial focus and where we're headed.
You will be responsible for:
In this position, you will lead the provision of sound commercial support to Clients, Business Development/Retention, and the Medirest Operations Director including but not limited to; commercial modelling, supplier budgeting, forecasting and reporting, thereby ensuring control, accuracy, predictability and timely delivery of results, comparative analysis and commentary. This role ensures understanding of business/economic/environmental drivers of actual results versus operating plan and forecast. You will work closely with operational leaders to ensure financial planning processes for revenue and expenses are captured, carefully estimate and communicate business impacting events. You will be responsible for anticipating changes, seek better practices and contribute to the overall commercial success of Compass Group as well as driving a culture of business partnership and lean efficiency throughout the commercial Support Service function.
Ideal skills and experience you will have:
As a successful candidate you will have an Accounting Degree and ideally be a CA/CPA with a minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a commercial setting post qualification. You will have sound forecasting and analytical skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, ability to work with complex ERP applications, ability to prioritise and multi-task and to lead and influence change, effective business partnering, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail as well as see the 'big picture'. You will be an experienced people leader having strong people management skills helping drive results.
