Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience in brand marketing or business-to-business (B2B) marketing, including event experience
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders (i.e. director and above)
  • Experience developing internal and external communication strategies
  • Experience working with data to make recommendations, to develop campaigns or ongoing programs

Preferred qualifications:

  • Exceptional project management skills and experience, including managing internal and external stakeholders, external creative agencies, events vendors, and international projects
  • Executive liaison experience with excellent written and presentation skills, with the ability to gain the trust and support from the senior stakeholders. Detail oriented and ability to work in fast paced, constantly changing, ambiguous environments
  • Thought leader on marketing techniques, trends, competitive landscape and best practices, including knowledge of digital advertising and enterprise software, and a desire to learn new technologies
  • Familiar with both brand and performance marketing strategies: latest Google/YouTube competitive products, their features and benefits

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

The YouTube Ads Marketing team in EMEA is responsible for supporting the growth of our Ads business in the region across multiple priority markets. We're a small, nimble, and influential team; with an incredibly diverse set of skills and backgrounds; working collaboratively with local markets and regional executives to set strategy, define success, and deliver powerful content, campaigns, and experiences that fuel local market success within a fast-moving, dynamic, and exciting market context.

As a Manager of YouTube Ads Marketing, you will shape a fast growing business at Google and drive change across the media landscape for brand advertisers and agencies in EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage scaled communications programs for the EMEA region (YouTube Re:View, YouTube Works: Ads Leaderboard), working to grow the impact of these programs over time via ongoing analyses, content development, and best practice execution
  • Drive partnerships with local markets, marketing, sales, and research teams to define program or campaign success, generate consumer and consumer insights, and build messaging and content requirement
  • Partner with cross-functional collaborators to build briefs for content and work-streams, ensuring alignment with Google’s vision and strategy for the event or programs
  • Own the delivery of EMEA marketing strategy across critical channels (events, social, email, paid promotion, partnerships)
  • Lead audience development for EMEA alongside global marketing and regional sales teams, ensuring the right people are engaging with Google and we’re posed to meet our KPIs
