HealthShare NSW is looking for a dynamic individual to fulfil the role of Manager, Workforce Planning, Talent and Employee Governance. This is a permanent opportunity to lead a dedicated team in delivering on HealthShare’s workforce planning and talent development strategies and programs.

We are looking for an engaged team player who has demonstrated leadership experience in initiating, leading and developing strategic initiatives of workforce planning, change management and/or human resource management within a complex service delivery and customer centric environment.

You will possess excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills; with demonstrated capability to build, and maintain relationships with various stakeholders to coach, support and provide expert advice to achieve optimal business outcomes.

About the opportunity

This role will support the Associate Director, Workforce Planning, Diversity and Resourcing in providing workforce support services and managing operations to ensure continuous effective service with a responsive, innovative performance based and accountable customer focus.

This position will contribute to creating and sustaining a constructive and safe workplace culture, based on establishing, influencing, and embedding expected behaviours for leader and employees. It will also provide workforce services advice and support to business units and employees, coaching and guiding business unit leaders on good people management whilst supporting expected business line goals and performance.

This position is responsible for managing services and issues in a risk intelligent manner and in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures, meeting all internal legislative, audit and Ministry of Health requirements to find out more.

This is a Permanent Full Time position graded as a Health Manager Level 4 with an annual salary of $130,373.00 to $155,983.00 (Excl. 10% superannuation). Location: Jessie Street, Parramatta, Sky Central Charlestown or NSW Health Campus, St Leonards

Targeted Questions

Describe a time when you had to lead and facilitate a session or workshop intending to solicit high-level strategic thinking from business leaders. In your example, describe the situation, the strategies that you used and the outcome.

Describe the approach you took to establishing effective governance when you managed organisational change. In your example, describe what steps you took, how you managed relationships and the value delivered.

You will be asked to complete a psychometric assessment (eg. personality and cognitive abilities assessments) in the recruitment process for this position.

Only candidates with current Australian work rights (Australian citizens, permanent residents, valid work visa) will be considered.

Vaccination Requirements

This is a NSW Health Category B position.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.
