About the team

The Operations, Customer and Place-making team ensures Sydney Metro delivers integrated, reliable, customer-focused, and efficient services. Including managing large scale place-making projects, designing and developing thriving precincts where community members can gather, connect, shop, work and play. We are proud of what we have achieved so far and excited for the full vision of Sydney Metro to come to life.

The Opportunity

We have a unique opportunity for a Manager Transport Planning to join our Transport Planning team on a fixed-term contract until the 31st of December 2023. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Transport Planning, the primary purpose of the role is to assist in transport planning and advisory with a focus on sustainable transport, transport modelling and traffic engineering.

Activities you'll be involved in include:

 

- Being a member of an experienced team delivering various transport planning projects.

- Strategic thinking that explores wide-ranging possibilities in developing a vision for the future.

- Monitoring external sources and identifying underlying trends: develop, maintain, and use various systems, processes, and references to gather information.

- Dealing with concepts and complexity to comfortably use analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems.

- Generating new ideas by drawing on a range of information sources to provide best practice outcomes.

- Managing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget while meeting customer needs and all deliverable requirements.

- Implement and comply with Sydney Metro's Quality Management system

- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and work with an energetic and motivated team of professionals in a supportive and encouraging environment.

- Manage a diverse range of stakeholders which have unique requirements.

About you

 

To be successful in this role, you will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly complex environment. You will have a sound understanding of the workings of Government and a proven track record of providing high-level Transport Planning advice. Attention to detail, initiative, and a can-do approach, is essential. You act with high integrity and discretion as you will handle confidential and commercial information.

You possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

 

 

Salary and Benefits
