About the role

As Manager Substation Delivery you will lead the safe, effective and efficient delivery of transmission substation plant and equipment maintenance, refurbishment, capital project delivery and emergency repair work. You will utilise a combination of live and de-energised work methods to ensure the reliability, quality and stability of Powerlink's services.

As a leader, you will drive the development and mentoring of all substation delivery staff to support individuals to solve problems, create readiness for change and build capability, as well as ensure they have the necessary skills, authorisations and technical knowledge to efficiently and safely perform required works.

About you

To be successful in this position you will hold a degree level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline, or you will hold a lesser qualification coupled with significant applied experience in managing field delivery services in a heavy industry environment.

You will have strong leadership and relationship building skills that enable you to effectively manage a team of highly technically skilled individuals, to produce safe, reliable, and high quality outcomes.

Your success will also rely on your advanced knowledge of high voltage plant, equipment, associated systems, and field work requirements needed to achieve delivery outcomes.

Demonstrated capability in monitoring and role-modelling safety strategies, policies and practices, developing structured team/project plans, and managing and mitigating risks will also be essential for this role.
