An exciting opportunity exists for a Manager Project Planning on a Fixed Term basis in Planning and Pipeline Development Team
The Portfolio Development, Future Projects & Planning unit strategically plans and defines projects which will deliver social and affordable housing growth and improved neighbourhood amenity on Homes Victoria land and other Government land, as part of the Big Housing Build and future pipeline development. The unit identities sites, progresses masterplans, undertakes preliminary due diligence, and defines the scope, preliminary designs and initial costs of projects to inform business cases and the required approvals for delivery and land transaction. The unit has Homes Victoria's Statutory planning function which provides specialist advice across the portfolio, ensuring HV and their funding partners are model applicants in the delivery of well-designed projects.
The Manager Project Planning will lead a team responsible for the development of masterplanning and project scoping for new and redeveloped social and affordable housing estates and neighbourhoods, and for leading the incorporation of social and affordable housing agendas into precinct, and other local spatial land use planning initiatives. As well as managing the performance of the team, the role will lead sensitive stakeholder engagement, and provide expert advice to executive leadership.
Significant strategic planning, urban design, architecture or property development experience is required, with a strong leadership and stakeholder management background. A strong urban design understanding is essential to ensure a design led planning approach to new social and affordable housing projects.
Reporting to the Director Planning and Pipeline Development, this role will be a key part of the leadership team.
