Our client, an internationally recognized music education institution and performance venue, is looking to hire a permanent Manager, Operations - Financial Planning and Analysis for their downtown Toronto location. The Manager, Operations – FP& A will be reporting to the Controller and his/her responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

·      Manage team responsible for operational accounting, accounts payable, receivables, and taxes

·      Evaluate costing and profitability of products and services through business analysis and financial

·      Analyse and report financial performance and KPIs of monthly operational activities

·      Monitor e-Commerce portfolio and activity

·      Oversee full cycle accounting function of 3 legal entities in accordance with not-for-profit GAAP

·      Prepare financial reporting in compliance with governmental requirements

·      Provide support with budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities

·      Identify opportunities and implement improvements in processes and tools including ERP system

·      Participate in annual audit process

Requirements

Qualifications

·      CPA CA, CMA, CGA with degree in financial management, accounting, or business administration

·      5+ years of experience in financial reporting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting

·      Good understanding of products/channel revenue and expense allocation methodologies

·      Demonstrated leadership experience

·      Highly organized and detail-oriented, effectively manages competing priorities and deadlines

·      Strong analytical skills with clear understanding of complex accounting and financial concepts

·      Ability to manage and large amounts of data and translate it into relevant business information

·      Exceptional interpersonal skills including written and oral communication

·      Knowledge of e-commerce platforms, Concur, MS Dynamics Navision, Jet Reports and Power BI
