About the Team
As part of the Commercial & Supply Chain Function, we plan, source, make, deliver, return, and enable supply chain services to customers across the Engineering & Maintenance Branch and the broader rail industry.
The opportunity
The Manager Fleet Supply Chain role is based at Auburn. It leads a 30-person supply chain capability across eight locations, directly supporting rolling-stock Fleet Maintenance, with end-to-end accountability for Fleet Supply Chain performance.
This permanent ongoing role will see the successful applicant play a pivotal role in continuing to lead the supply chain operations transformation undertaken in 2021.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the fleet supply chain business plan and appropriate operational plans in line with Fleet Maintenance objectives to ensure business is managed in an efficient, effective and financially responsible manner.
Working closely with the principal contracted supplier to achieve Supply Chain targets with improved warehouse practices and increased parts availability.
Overseeing Rotable demand planning systems & processes are developed and
maintained to improve planning accuracy and effective use of rotable pools.
Maximising supply and inventory strategies to ensure inventory is optimised, targets met, and opportunities identified to meet demand at Fleet Maintenance Centre Depot stores.

About you
The successful candidate will require drive, motivation and the ability to take responsibility for delivering high-quality customer-focused services.
You will have a deep understanding of supply chain operations and be capable of achieving tight and challenging timelines, manage complexity, and have a demonstrated understanding of the interactions that are required between Maintenance and Supply Chain.
You will demonstrate a strong understanding of SAP or an equivalent ERP.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience are essential for this role.
This is a great opportunity to demonstrate your well-developed supply chain skills, manage a diverse team across multiple locations, and be fully accountable for a critical function.
