Would you like to play a key role in support of our ambitious goal of working with our customers, Government and the market to help reduce the emissions we finance by more than 50 per cent by 2030, supporting the UK’s ambition to be net zero by 2050?

As one of our Environmental Sustainability Analytics, Engagement and Reporting Managers, you\'ll be part of a specialist team responsible for supporting the Group’s net-zero strategy and development, providing technical advice on environmental sustainability and supporting portfolio decarbonisation plans across to the organisation.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Group Environmental Sustainability team! As one of our Environmental Sustainability Analytics, Engagement and Reporting Managers, you\'ll be part of a specialist team responsible for supporting the Group’s net-zero strategy and development, providing technical advice on environmental sustainability and supporting portfolio decarbonisation plans across to the organisation.


What you\'ll be doing...

  • As a subject matter expert, you\'ll support the development of initiatives that contribute to the Group’s transition to net-zero strategy, and enable delivery of our ambitions.
  • Provide technical support to the wider Group on climate change and the preservation of natural capital/biodiversity. You\'ll understand the implications of these topics on the financial sector and provide a view on emerging industry trends.
  • Collaborate across the Group to develop our approach and plans to decarbonise the portfolio and progress other new areas of focus, for example biodiversity and nature.
  • Support the development of our environmental sustainability policy and internal frameworks through analysis and external benchmarking.
  • Support the embedding of the Group-wide sustainability priorities and net-zero ambitions.
  • Act as subject matter expert for inputting into key metrics, benchmarks and indices i.e. CDP.
  • Engage in leading industry initiatives and carry out external scanning of emerging themes and regulatory developments with regard to sustainability and apply these to a Lloyds Banking Group context.


What you can bring to the role...

  • Specialist Knowledge - Able to provide subject matter expertise on environmental sustainability issues and their impact on the business, including climate change and green finance. Experience in any of the following sectors - energy, power, housing, automotive or agriculture - or natural capital/biodiversity would be useful.
  • Business Insight - Able to apply your knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance our objectives. For example, use insights to shape and drive critical initiatives and sharing industry developments with the team.
  • Communicates Effectively - Able to develop and deliver communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Builds Networks - Able to effectively build formal and informal relationships inside and outside the organisation. For example, leveraging your networks to remain aware of industry developments and widen own sphere of influence.
  • Problem Solving - Able to make sense of complex information to effectively solve problems, asking questions to encourage others to think differently.
