What you'll be doing:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join the team at Nepean Hospital as our Elective Surgery Waitlist and Bookings Manager in a permanent full time position .
Ensure that the Elective waiting lists are maintained according to the Ministry of Health (MOH) Elective Surgery Access Policy PD2022_001
Work with the Nepean and Division of Surgery and Anaesthetics Executive to formulate the LHD Surgery & Anaesthetics Service activity targets within the available resources, and monitor their achievements
Responding to critical issues relating to the delivery of services, and preparing high level briefs as directed by the General Manager or Divisional Manager Surgery and Anaesthetics
Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including LHD and hospital staff to ensure that priorities are met in terms of waitlist management
Regularly review reporting processes to identify issues; implement corrective actions and keep senior management informed of issues
Negotiate with various facilities within the NBMLHD regarding transfer of patients from the Nepean Hospital waitlist to where capacity is available
This role involves maintaining quality and providing high levels of customer service satisfaction.
Supervise and establish records systems to ensure data integrity in accordance with the waitlist policy including responding to internal and external requests for information.

Selection criteria to be addressed: * Demonstrated evidence of experience in improvement of work systems and establishment of quality process and audit systems
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with high level interpersonal skills in communicating effectively with senior personnel, departmental managers, staff and patients
Demonstrated knowledge of iPM, EDWARD and/or similar patient management database
Knowledge of Ministry of Health Waiting Time and Elective Patient Management policy or demonstrated ability to research, understand and comply with policy
Demonstrated proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications and an array of corporate applications
Demonstrated understanding and commitment to professional standards, development of staff and change management processes
Experience in staff supervision/management
