About the team
The TfNSW IT group provides the networks, cloud platforms, applications, and end-user computing that enables TfNSW 30,000 employees to deliver a smart and efficient transport network for the people of NSW. The Corporate IT team is responsible for delivering end-to-end services of a very large application portfolio that is consumed by internal Clients and external Customers.
The Opportunity
Right now Transport for New South Wales are seeking to 3 Manager, Delivery Support (Hosting) positions within our IT Division. We are seeking Private and Public skillsets to fill various voids within our team. If you have experience with AWS or similar we would love to hear from you.
Our team is shifting from Private to Public cloud, and as such we are hoping to find talent across both cloud platforms. We have two permanent positions for our new program of works. Candidates with AWS experience will be highly regarded for these permanent roles, however candidates with any public cloud experience should apply.
Our 3rd position is a temporary fixed term 12 month contract. For this position we are searching for candidates with Private Cloud experience who can support our transition to Public Cloud without compromising our ongoing commitments to the various divisions within TfNSW.
As Manager, Delivery Support, you will be expected to:
Support the monitoring and governance of services delivered by third party suppliers and act as a key escalation point in key service management processes, including supporting the resolution of escalated technical issues and communicate service delivery issues that require senior management action.
Support the review of major changes and releases and provide support for other management processes (e.g. invoice validation, technical evaluations, supplier proposal review and deliverables acceptance).
Support the development of business cases and concept papers and maintain an understanding of business requirements and demand for services.
Identify and support the management of emerging supplier issues and challenges affecting service delivery.
Review service delivery related reports provided by supplier/s, provide operational updates on supplier performance, reports and metrics to internal stakeholders and escalate material performance breaches.
Review supplier compliance with contracted obligations, including technical services delivered, cross functional processes, and service levels.
Assist with the periodic review of SLAs and other performance indicators to ensure best business outcomes.
Monitor customer satisfaction with portfolio services and delivery of services by supplier/s to identify emerging issues and initiate remedial action. Support the scoping of initiatives with suppliers to address improvement opportunities identified and review supplier initiatives and provide input, advice and assistance to support the development of business cases.
Monitor on an ongoing basis emerging needs, and relevance and suitability of services provided, including how they are delivered and consumed.
Proactively identify and escalate potential risks. Contribute to the development of risk management plans, establishment of risk controls and performance of risk mitigation activities.

About You
You must have the ability to work additional hours (outside of ordinary work hours) and have appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience. Experience governing the operational delivery of managed IT services including a working understanding of managed services and outsourcing in large, complex organisations.
The successful candidate will have experience monitoring the provision of services by suppliers including adherence to contracted SLAs and delivery obligations, facilitating the resolution of escalated issues, promoting collaborative relationships, and partnering with suppliers to accurately identify and manage emerging issues and challenges affecting service delivery.
We are looking for someone who has knowledge of and experience in IT infrastructure services in particular the operation, management and governance of well-functioning service desk.
In order to be successful in this role it requires knowledge of mature, good practice and contemporary infrastructure services delivery methods. Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycles, project methodologies and IT service management methodologies, frameworks and processes.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Transport Grade 9A ($138,670) – 9E ($155,309) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
