About IT at TfNSW
TfNSW’s IT group provides the tools, information and services that enable 30,000 employees to deliver a smart and efficient transport network. We bring the future to our people by delivering innovative solutions and minimising business disruptions, building an engaged and connected workforce through tech-enablement. The Division
Corporate Services provide strategies, solutions and services that make our clients’ working lives easier, and their projects more efficient and effective. 
The opportunity
The primary purpose of this role is to data analytics dedicated to the delivery of advancing the cluster’s data and advanced analytics solution delivery, platforms, and application management. The role has primary ownership of the data analytics and operations delivery to produce data analysis, data provision, models, advanced analytics, and insights.
Key accountabilities
Lead and coach a team to deliver end to end data analytics & AI projects to meet stakeholder outcomes including customer experience, operational excellence, demand management, and performance analysis
Translate stakeholder use cases into analytical solution needs which enable data-driven decisions, including staged planning of large complex projects and driver analysis of trend changes to uncover customer pain points and opportunities
Provide managerial and technical oversight of analytics solutions to meet business, technical and user requirements.
Identify new opportunities to leverage existing and new data sources to proactively demonstrate insights to deliver business insights and effective self-serve solutions
Lead and participate in proofs-of-concept on platform innovation, and effectively transition and scale those concepts into production with a focus on delivering business value.
Contribute to ongoing technical and business outcomes of the cloud data platform including platform enhancements, capacity management, performance monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues.
Provide advice and recommend outcomes for use of analytics in divisions as well as the application of analysis projects outcomes to relevant business decisions
Strong collaboration skills to partner with source system owners and end-state data consumers to delivering the correct outcomes for teams delivering data and insights.

About You:
Must have extensive experience in cloud data platforms and a great understanding of Big Data management.
Strong AI and ML Tools and techniques to deliver innovative solutions
3-5 years’ experience leading and mentoring data and analytic teams
You can build and maintain healthy stakeholder relationships and can communicate effectively with all parts of the business
You have solid experience in managing complex projects requiring algorithm development using advanced programming methods.
Essential Requirements
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 9 $138,670 - $155,309 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
