The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager – Apprenticeship Program to join our Engineering & Maintenance Directorate. In this diverse and rewarding role you will lead an Apprentice Unit and manage the Apprentice cohort whilst balancing training and business needs to source and attract the future candidates to the program whilst generating innovative ways to support them and sustain their growth.
This role will suit someone who can think outside the box and is keen to improve the business by leading the development, delivery and monitoring of apprentice programs. Once recruits are on board you will manage the liaison between Sydney Trains, education providers, placement managers and participants to ensure effective and efficient program completion.
In addition, you will use your effective communication and networking skills to engage with industry and business stakeholders to develop robust learning solutions that meet organisational objectives.
You will
Manage relationships with internal and external organisations for apprenticeships and community engagement activities.
Collaborate with TfNSW Learning & Development to develop and maintain holistic training plans.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring quality processes underpin all phases of learning.
About you
Drawing on your sound people management experience, you will have had experience working across Apprentice or Training and Development Programs in a large and complex organisation, you understand the challenges of delivering Apprenticeship and work experience programs whilst meeting current and future business goals. You will be well versed in the design, delivery and review of large Apprenticeship programs. You’re someone who can build strong working relationships to lead and guide the apprentice team and our people on the journey as we continue to enhance how we work. To succeed in this role, you’ll need relevant HR, Business Management (or other relevant area) qualifications or equivalent industry-based experience within a relevant workplace context.
Whilst not essential to your application, relevant skills and knowledge in the design, delivery and review of Traineeships and Community Engagement activities would be desirable.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is a RC7 $140,053 - $ 154,443 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
