ABOUT THE COMPANY
The founders of Sustainable Salons set out to stop salon waste from ending up in landfill and they officially launched Sustainable Salons in 2015. The Salon recycling program now creates waste solutions for the hairdressing, barbering, pet grooming and beauty industries where waste is collected,, sorted and repurposed into innovative solutions.
With over 1000 member salons across Australia and NZ, Sustainable Salons rescue up to 95% of salon resources from landfill and donate 100% of proceeds from the sale of materials to local communities and charities.
ABOUT THE JOB
This is a brand new role created to support company growth in New Zealand and help drive the delivery of Sustainable Salons resource recovery service. This is a remote first (Work-From-Home) role and will report directly to the Operations Manager in Australia.
The Logistics Coordinator will play an active role in resource collection, fleet management, logistics and transport coordination as well as operation reporting and improvement and may require occasional travel domestically and internationally to Australia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collections and Drivers Management:
â— Scheduling and updating collections/deliveries in the assigned territories in coordination with Sales Managers and/or Customer Success Managers
â— Conduct collection/delivery services to customers for assigned routes/territories when necessary
â— Manage driver (employees and contractors) resources including coordinate drivers shifts and rosters and organise driver replacement or recruitment when necessary
â— Coordinate with depot partners that deliver collection services via their own fleet and drivers
â— Manage courier partners performance and issues
Fleet and Inventory Management
â— Organise freight and couriers, logistics and transport coordination for orders dispatching from company inventory locations
â— Manage all operational vehicles in the assigned territories including vehicle
allocation to drivers, vehicle repairs, maintenance and cleaning
â— Manage inventory and consumables in the vans
â— Liaise with Head office and local processing depots on resource recovery and stock operations
Training, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
â— Assist rollout of new systems/tools for drivers/dispatchers
â— Provide training to new drivers/dispatchers on resource recovery operations procedures, systems and tools
â— Provide report and analysis on territory activities (locations/bins serviced and cancellations)
â— Provide report on driver/courier performance and issues
â— Provide report on Inventory level for all vehicles and local processing depots
â— Assist the rollout for Salesforce Field Service Lightning to New Zealand collection operations, warehouse dispatching and inventory management processes
â— Provide training support to drivers and depot managers during and after the rollout

Experience and qualifications:

â— Good computer skills e.g. Excel/google sheets and ability to learn new systems quickly
â— Experience with Salesforce Field Service lightning advantage

â— Current forklift licence desired but not essential
