Your responsibilities
- Maintain documents and assemble data as directed by lawyers and paralegals
- Review original documents to ensure copies are precise
- Research and retrieve electronic documents from a variety of court and agency web sites
- Preserve computer database input and retrieval
- Develop a storage system for e-documents and files
- Work on correspondence and memorandum
- Be responsible for word processing, filing and faxing
- Lead matter management and record keeping
- Round up documents for photocopying/scanning
- Conducting routine discovery
- Organizing and tracking files for important transactions or case documents, including pleadings and voluminous discovery documents; creating and maintaining a case-management database
- Real estate law experience
- Investigating the factual evidence of a transaction or case and preparing exhibits, charts and diagrams to display information
- Drafting legal court documents, such as pleadings, motions, affidavits and subpoenas; transactional documents, such as trusts, wills, contracts and real estate leases; and closing documents
- 1+ years of previous legal work experience and a dedication to integrity
