About this role

This job is key to delivering differentiated learning experience to colleagues as part of our business transformation and drive for a learning culture.  End to end programme management of learning initiatives, enabling teams to adopt and embed the skills and capabilities needed for the future technical landscape and embracing our new ways of working. The post holder will be responsible for the stakeholder engagement, design, development and delivery often through partner relationships to drive the learning strategy into our key business areas of Technology and Corporate Units. The post holder will be successful by leveraging relationships across Technology, BT Group and by bringing in external best practice to support the end-to-end impact of learning through upskilling and reskilling initiatives, such as Agile ways of working.

Therefore, key success measures for this role will be capability increase as well as learning effectiveness.

You'll have the following responsibilities

• Decisions around development of key skills required for the adoption of new ways of working

• Consult with Senior Stakeholders, prioritise and implement highly effective and engaging learning solutions for learning interventions in line with project goals

• Identify existing metrics and implement additional feedback loops, e.g. performance data and business input, to identify opportunities, inform training decisions and take action to mitigate issues

• Stay current with learning trends to drive innovation continued evolution in our learning, elevating learning relevance, effectiveness and efficiency

• Monitor post-training performance in order to continually elevate the learning design, deployment and speed to drive proficiency and effectiveness

• Prepare and roll out training program calendar, design program content and create the execution plans

• Support and drive communication initiatives and learning campaigns

You'll have the following skills & experience

• Ability to build and leverage relationships at all levels

• Design, customise, co-create or transform existing training curriculum to make it more relevant to business requirements in conjunction with emerging learning needs

• A strong ability to effectively navigate through a global matrix environment

• Effective at decision making, workload prioritisation and project management

• Self-motivated with a strong passion for learning and customer experience

• Clear, confident, influential communication style which welcomes debate but ultimately drives consensus – highly collaborative

• Excellent communication style – both written and verbal

• Growth mindset, always questioning status quo

• Flexible and adaptable

• Effective at problem analysis and resolution

• Ability to act as a change agent

• Proven ability to drive performance results

• Excellent self-management and project management skills

Experience you would be expected to have

• Extensive experience in Learning and Development

• Experience in learning design (and delivery), including understanding of adult learning principles, using best practices in learning approaches and learning technologies to drive performance

• Experience in driving implementation of strategies and solutions to accelerate continued evoloution of BT into a world class learning organisation

• Knowledge and experience of programme management best practices, e.g. governance, templates and deliverables

• Experience in working in virtual international environments

• Experience of building a culture of learning that connects a tool or application to the underlying behavioural and cultural shift needed
