• Learning Management System (LMS) Programme Manager - South Island role will both support the healthLearn Governance and Operational Groups in the ongoing management and development of healthLearn and support the development of high-quality online learning content.
• This role requires a high level of expertise and professionalism, working with diverse health or other governmental and non-governmental organisations, from senior level staff through to consumers and Maori representatives.
• Within the South Island (if based outside of Christchurch some travel will be required)
• 40 hours/week (1fte) permanent

Mō te tūnga | About the role

We are seeking an experienced programme manager with learning management system experience. To be successful in this role you will be someone who can work at a strategic and operational level as well as drive the development and maintenance of learning content and the LMS platform across the four South Island District Health Boards.

You will be excited by managing a small team as well as building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, problem-solving complex learning management system challenges and “making learning easier".

The South Island Alliance brings together the region's five DHBs to work collaboratively to develop more innovative and efficient health services than could be achieved independently. HealthLearn is supported by the South Island and is our health system's learning management system. This role requires a high level of expertise and professionalism, working with diverse health or other governmental and non-governmental organisations, from senior level staff through to consumers and Māori representatives. Working alongside a multidisciplinary and intersectoral team is required to ensure all health stakeholders are represented.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

• Experience in programme management and managing small teams
• Considerable experience in supporting effective learning management systems
• Experience in developing on line learning content
• Programme or project management experience and skills are desirable
• Experience creating positive behaviour change through user-centred learning
• Previous experience using and knowledge in using of Totara LMS, or other similar learning management systems
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and learning development processes
• An understanding and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and its relevance to the health workforce and health system.
• Capabilities to, enhance organisational performance and be resilient and adaptive.
• The capability to actively participate in a small, distributed team
