We are seeking passionate people who want to make a difference in the lives of our learners at Hingaia Peninsula School.

Are you a caring, positive and energetic person who enjoys working with young children?  We are looking for someone to assist an individual student as well as running literacy support sessions for our junior students and of course, work alongside the teaching teams to support all students to be engaged and enjoying their learning in the studio. Experience working with young children to provide literacy learning support programmes is an advantage.

This position is to work closely with a student who needs one-to one support. this role is 9am - 3pm Monday - Friday during term time only. Commencing as soon as possible through to 16 December 2022.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to connect with students with learning and/or behaviour needs and form positive relationships.
• Work alongside the studio teachers and external agencies and act on instructions and guidance for how to support the students.
• Be able to use initiative and reflect on individualised programmes (if/where necessary) and modify if needed. 
• Clear police vetting check.
• NZ Citizen or Resident or have a valid NZ work permit.
