About the role
As a Lead Network Engineer, you will have a significant experience and sound knowledge in comprehensive design, solution build/ implementation, scoping and technical infrastructure.
Lead customer engagements, ensuring they're fit for purpose, and satisfy current and future operational requirements of both client and Optus Enterprise.
Use knowledge of ITIL methodology and follow applicable ITIL processes including Incident, Change and Problem Management.
Responsibilities
- System analysis, technical design, implementation and maintenance of solutions applied to customer infrastructure, incorporating technologies such as network, IP Telephony, security, systems, optimisation and wireless solutions.
- Lead implementation teams and the customer, providing systems/network design and implementation support to ensure smooth and effective migration to new technology/versions;
- Use extensive technical skills, design/implement testing methodologies and handle the outcome of the testing.
- Perform on call after hours support to customers for P1 and P2 cases.
About you
- Minimum 10 years broad professional work experience and at least 3 years in Networking.
- AGSVA Security Clearance (NV1) or an Australian Citizen eligible to qualify for AGVSA clearance
- Cisco Certifications in Routing and Switching or Data Centre or through extensive experience of CCIP/CCNP, CCIE
- Sound knowledge of technical documentation
- Design, lead and fix end to end QOS across SP networks
- Design, install and support of Cisco core network technologies together with Cisco WAAS/ Riverbed or Cisco/Aruba wireless solutions in large customer installations
- Solid grasp of: network security technologies, MPLS Networks, BGP, OSPF, F5 , Checkpoint and Palo Alto Firewalls, SD-WAN, IPV4 and IPV6
