Your new role:

As Lead Architect you will be responsible for proactively leading and supporting Aircraft Sustainment & Training Enterprise Architecture activities, guiding the development and management of a portfolio of solutions within this line of business.

Provide leadership, analysis and design tasks to support the development of technology solutions ensuring that they meet business needs and align with our strategic direction, policies and standards.

You will engage with key stakeholders within the business and IT function to lead the creation of effective roadmaps, options analysis and solution designs to ensure that solutions meet business needs and are supported by architectural governance, policies and standards. Strong engagement and relationship skills that support effective, reliable and secure outcomes for our customers is key.

As Lead Architect you will be able to demonstrate competencies across four key dimensions:

  • Translates Business Strategy into Solutions Architecture
  • Leads Solutions Design and Analysis
  • Orchestrates Solutions Delivery
  • Facilitates and Collaborates to Deliver Business Outcomes

About you

As an ideal applicant for this opportunity:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments
  • Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
  • Good understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
  • Experience working in a relevant industry is helpful, but not required
  • Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies and roadmaps
  • Strong Engagement and Relationship experience, confident in delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences

Clearances

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
