Laundry Aide:

Start Date: ASAP

Status: Full-Time and Part-Time

Schedule: Sunday to Saturday 7-3pm and 12-8pm  

Wage: $16.00/hour

Location: Cambridge Manor – 253 Smith St NW, Calgary, AB

JOB SUMMARY

Perform laundry services including cleaning and distributing linens to clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Properly sort, wash and dry linens following the approved laundry procedures.
• Fold, count and stack linens following approved laundry procedures.
• Collect soiled linens along with redistributing clean linens.
• Transport supplies to include clean and soiled linen to the appropriate storage and collection areas.
• Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens and following Standard Operating Procedure for damaged linens.
• Maintain the commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.

• Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry or equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Able to operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, linen press and clothing labeler.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting
• Physically able to carry out duties of the position.
