Job Description:

• Read and interpret technical plans.
• Build basic models if necessary.
• Measure and draw cuts and bends.
• Installation of metalworking machinery including rollers, drill presses, fire protection devices, brakes and shears.
• Double check design specifications before starting cutting work. Manufacture and construction of metal structures.
• Grinding and finishing the finished product.
• Perform finished product quality inspection.
• Comply with state and company safety regulations.
• Complete work reports.
• Interpret drawings and assembly instructions.
• Understand customer requirements and specifications.
• Prototype development if needed
• Welding metal components and materials.
• Develop layout and design plan. Prepare a sequence of activities to complete the task.
• Install the welding machine and other equipment necessary for the task.
• Coordinate with production assembly team.
• Maintain machine tools and equipment such as drills, edge planers, etc.
• Write a report of the work done. Perform finished product quality inspection.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous work experience as a metal fabricator.
• AWS certification and advanced welding experience.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans. Proficient use of metalworking tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters and drill presses.
• Advanced math and engineering skills.
• Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Show excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Outstanding physical endurance.
• Demonstrate the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Excellent knowledge and experience in the field of welding. Possibility to use different types of production equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Hard working and personal detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a team and independently when needed.
• Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively solve complex problems.
