We have two roles available and are looking for enthusiastic, customer centric individuals to work in our busy Hastings laboratory. You will work collaboratively as part of the Specimen Services team and the key tasks include sorting, receipting and preparing specimens coming in to the laboratory, data entry of patient and test details and dealing with telephone enquiries.

• 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, plus rostered weekend overtime once suitably trained.
• Normal shifts are either 9am-6pm or 9:30am-6:30pm Monday to Friday

We welcome applicants interested in an entry-level Laboratory Trainee role, including recent school leavers. We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Enthusiasm for health and science and a minimum of NECA level 3 in Science, Maths and English, and / or previous experience in a laboratory setting
• Good customer service/ interpersonal skills and telephone manner
• Proven ability to work in a methodical manner, excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Good computer skills together with fast and accurate data entry skills

We are also keen to hear from you if you are a Registered Medical laboratory Technician / Preanalytical Technician.
