These positions are key operational support roles for our busy, fast paced Kitchen, completing deep cleaning tasks and lifting/carrying kitchen items and equipment. You will take pride in the level of hygiene and cleanliness that you provide.

 Ideally you will have:

• The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
• Basic food preparation and storage knowledge including HACCP principles
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen or catering operation

• Attention to detail and a good understanding of hygiene and cleaning practices

We operate 7 days a week therefore your flexibility to work over a 7 day roster including Public Holidays and weekend work are essential criteria for suitability. 

The salary range for this position is $47,450 to $48,180. Offers will be made within the range to reflect the skills and experience offered by the candidate and those required of the role, and internal relativities with other employees.

Appointment to a position at Te Papa will require the production of evidence, prior to the commencement of work, of a “MY Vaccine Pass' issued by the Ministry of Health.
