What we are looking for:

We are looking for enthusiastic casual Kitchen Hands to work at Tauranga Hospital. Hours of work are on an as and when required basis, however the shifts when you do work are either 06.00 - 15.00 or 16.00 - 20.00. 

Your responsibilities:

As a Kitchen Hand you'll be tasked with keeping our kitchen environment clean, orderly and safe. You'll also be flexible and adaptable and will be able to assist in other tasks relating to our food delivery system when required.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Keeping all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitized
• Cleaning of floors at the beginning and ending of shifts
• Deep clean projects when required by supervisors/managers
• Stocking up of all cleaning supplies including hand towels, soap & sanitizer
• Be ready to clean up spills to avoid hindering operations
• Decluttering of kitchen space of any empty packaging
• Asist with equipment and ingredient deliveries
• Organisation of food and supply storage areas
• Assisting in trolley deliveries to wards and collections when required
• Supporting successful execution of trayline services
• Supporting supervisors to complete shift cleaning responsibilities
• Helping with routine food prep tasks, when needed
• Refuse control

The successful candidates will need to:

If you're our perfect candidate you will be a team player and reliable, with a friendly a 'can do' attitude. You will adhere to the company's procedures and policies contributing to working in a safe work place. Ideally, you will already have some experience in food preparation and kitchen work.

You will be hard working but, most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, patient service and quality.
